GameHUB unites game development researchers in a multidisciplinary environment. In two years, three pilot games will be developed. These serious games are situated in the heritage and educational domains.

A first proof of concept will focus on the history of the puppet theatre (Het Firmament). The second, called New Belgica, will be a serious game based on a legendary voyage by a Belgian vessel to Antarctica in the 19th century. Finally, in close collaboration with a flemish patrons assocation (Unizo-Limburg), a business game will be developed which can be used in schools to promote entrepreneurship with young people.

In addition to the proofs of concept, GameHUB will actively involve SME’s and will organize an active knowledge hub in order to give the SME’s the opportunity to ask specific questions and acquire detailled information about the game development process as a whole.

The results of the project will be presented during different events.

GameHUB is a collaboration by PHL University College, Hasselt University, Limburg Catholic University College and GROUP T- International University College Leuven.
